Three brothers
Created during my freshman year at UNCO for Drawing I, this narrative piece was inspired by an Irish legend about three brothers and their sister who were cursed to live as swans for 1,000 years.

My Focus
This assignment gave me the chance to explore visual storytelling through traditional sketching techniques - focusing on line work, perspective, and symbolic elements to bring the myth to life. I wanted to capture both the sorrow and strength in their story, using shading and composition to evoke emotion and atmosphere.
Why I Loved This Project
I’ve always been drawn to folklore and fantasy, so this piece felt really personal to me. It was one of the first times I got to express a full story visually, and it helped spark my interest in using illustration as a narrative tool.
